The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners in conjunction with the Mahoning County Public Health Commissioner, will be adopting a Public Health Advisory for Mahoning County. The following will be addressed:
"Mask-Up Mahoning" campaign -residents should wear a mask that fully covers the mouth and nose when entering all public places, businesses and where social distancing cannot be observed and/ or maintained;
"Stay at Home" -where possible, residents are advised to stay at home and limit travel outside of the State of Ohio. Residents are advised to only leave home to go to work or school, or for essential needs such as seeking medical care, going to the grocery store or pharmacy, picking up food, or receiving deliveries;
"Limit gatherings" -residents are urged to limit gatherings to those that reside in their homes and to forgo having guests in their homes during the upcoming holiday season.
The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners wishes to support a joint effort by the Metro Counties in Ohio to stress the importance and put in place a "Stay at Home" advisory to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
These advisories shall remain in place to coincide with the 21 day curfew set by the Governor and the "Mask-Up Mahoning" campaign that will be in effect until the end of 2020.
