Alerts

  1. There are no alerts at this time.

Due to increased potential for severe weather in the state and in conjunction with our partners within the National Weather Service, the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness (OCSWA) is canceling the outdoor warning siren activation in conjunction with the state-wide tornado drill scheduled for 9:50AM on March 23.  As the Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the convective outlook to “slight” for a large portion of Ohio, we feel it is in our best interest to avoid undo confusion and reaction by sounding the sirens.  OCSWA continues to reinforce that Severe Weather Awareness Week is an opportunity for Ohio to increase understanding of Ohio’s severe weather threats and most importantly, to practice your tornado safety plans and drills.

Thank you for your continued partnership in bringing awareness to Ohioans and your vigilance in regards to Ohio’s severe weather risks.
